The size chart is based on Asian sizing, so size up. Even tho I am part Asian, I am older with a wider waist, small bust. Normally I am between a small and medium in standard US size. For reference, I am 5ft, 140 pounds, and have a 32inch waist. My bust is about 32c. I ordered this costume in the largest size. It is a bit expensive but the quality is decent for a costume, a bit big in the bust area. The ribcage corset helps fix that though. I only wish it was at least longer, maybe not full size ballgown, at least down to my ankles instead of the miniskirt. I guess it makes it convenient for dancing if you are out on Halloween night at a goth club. The ribbons on the gloves are not fix and long, difficult to tie around my arms in my own. They also move around a lot, so I might have to sew the ribbon gloves so they stay fixed and I’m not tripping over the excess ribbons. Overall, it is a decent costume, albeit overpriced a bit. Great to build off of, since I plan to find a longer skirt and sew the gloves - like literally two long ribbons on each glove that reaches down to the floor. I find it an odd choice to make the ribbons on the gloves that long but the base skirt. Tulle and ruffles are very pretty. I love that the corset is adjustable. I got an improved rosary from someone on Etsy who made an accurate version to the film, and I will need to get two matches brooches with a long train. I didn’t order the wig but since I have long hair to my waist, it’s not necessary for me personally so I don’t know about the wig quality. It was a gift for my fiancé but now that I know it fits I will come back for the other two del toro Elizabeth Harlander cosplay mini gowns.
